Reasons why the tire pressure monitoring indicator light is always on

If the tire pressure monitor light stays on, there are generally three reasons:

1. The tire pressure monitoring light is on when the tire is punctured

In this situation, the air leak is generally very slow, and it is impossible to find out which tire it is for a while. At this time, you can use the tire pressure gauge to measure, the front is 2.3, and the rear is 2.5. If it lights up again in a few days, it may be necessary to check the tire. In a 4S shop, the maintenance personnel usually adjust the pressure of the two front tires to 2.3 and the pressure of the rear tires to 2.4, then subtract the tire pressure and report to the police, and let us run for another 3 or 4 days to see if it is no longer It’s okay to call the police. If you call the police again, it may be that a tire has been punctured. You need to go to the 4S shop again and ask them to help check it.

2. Sometimes the tire pressure monitoring light is on because the tire pressure is too high

The general international GBT 2978-2008 standard stipulates that the inflation pressure of car tires meets the requirements of Table 1-Table 15: standard tires: 2.4-2.5bar; reinforced tires: 2.8-2.9bar; high pressure: should not exceed 3.5bar. So when a tire exceeds 3.0bar, the tire pressure monitoring light will also be triggered.

3. The tire pressure monitoring light is on due to long driving time with low tire pressure. This situation usually occurs when the tire pressure of a certain tire is too low. Stop for a rest or replace the spare tire.
